What does going 8-1 get you? A Silver Medal, a USA Bid,  and a Big Shiny Gold Trophy, thats what!  Coach O and team had a great weekend at the ShowMe National Qualifier in Kansas City, Mo.   When pools were posted, the team was seeding low and there were a number of teams that already had bids in the USA Division.   Also in the team's path was Texas Tornado's who just knocked 16's Premier out the previous weekend and went on to win a USA Bid at Lone Star Classic.  Starting day one, it was no easy path. but the team went 3-0.  Day two the team again went 3-0 but all matches went to three sets.  After making it to the Gold bracket and winning their 1st match, low and behold the next team up was Tornado's.  Magic easily won the 1st set but struggle in the second set to let Tornado's back in to win the 2nd set.  The 3rd set was a battle but Magic somehow came out on top winning 16-14 to secure their USA Bid and a chance to play for 1st Place.  In the Championship match, the team faced Nebraska One but the Tornado match must have takend it's toll on Magic and the team they fell to Nebraska One in two quick sets.  Getting your first bid is very exciting and i'm was very lucky to be court side today when the 16's Premier earned theirs.  Happy players, parents, coaches, and a few grand parents flooded the court as the team celebrated their big win.  Awesome Job Ladies and see you in Minneapolis!
