What does a little hard work get you, sometimes a Gold Medal.  In their very first tournament of the season, the 11's Gold bring home the Gold.  After going undefeated in pool play, the team earned the opportunity to play in the Championship match.  During warm ups in the final match, the team was a little nervous because of the height and size  of their competition.  One player ask, are you sure their 11's? Easily winning the 1st set with a awesome serving run by Jasmine Garza, 11's Gold lost their momentum in the second set and found themselves down 24-15.  Finally the team was able to side out and took control of the serve.  At 24-16, Sofia Wachholz goes to the serving line feeling the pressure of the situation.  Confidently and without skipping a beat, she rattles off 8 serves to tie the game 24-24.   Now with the crowd, players, and coaches going crazy with excitement, two more serves and a couple of good back and forth rallies and Magic wins the thrilling match  26-24.  What a Great Day to have the Magic.  Everyone did a great job this weekend but Co MVP definitely goes to Jasmine Garza and Sophia Wachholz for leading their team to victory.  Awesome Job 11's Gold!
